Downtown LA has several fabulous new buildings, including the Gehry-designed Disney Concert Hall (above) and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, with concrete walls and alabaster windows that fill the interior with a warm glow. Below: Built in the mid-1950s, Hollywood's Capitol Records building's futuristic design mimics a stack of records. Hollywood is beginning to clean up its act after years of decline. |
