We're looking at the front of their house (that is Rebecca on the top of the steps behind the leaf). To the right of the house is a separate room which had previously been used as the kitchen. However, Rebecca and Justin decided to make the back room of the house into their kitchen. See the breezeway between the house and the former kitchen? That is where their chicken coop is...so they can bop out the kitchen door and check for eggs.
